Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
